A. The process is simple and very straightforward:
A. Colonial Storage’s grounds are fenced, well lighted, and monitored by security cameras. At the gate, users are required to swipe their access card. The only access to our facility is through the front gate, and the gate is monitored 24/7 through an outside security company.
A. Please ensure that all the contents are securely stored; also, be aware that all trailers and containers are required to have a receiver lock or equivalent installed. It is not the responsibility of Colonial Storage to supply these types of locks.
A. At the moment, the current facilities are not ready for indoor storage use. However, there will be indoor storage available at a later date.
A. Access is available 24/7, but we would appreciate our clients avoid accessing the site between the hours of 11:00 PM – 5:00 AM for security reasons. During the winter months, clients should not enter property during a snow storm or freezing rain. Please contact owner at 613-223-7732 for updates on winter access.
A. Please contact us to have a new access card distributed. Please note: There will be a $40 redistribution fee for lost or stolen cards.
A. There is no maximum in size to use our storage facilities. The rate* is $2.50 per foot per month ($50 + HST minimum per month) on crushed stone.
*Storage Rates are based on a 6-month minimum.
A. No; Colonial Storage does not insure your property. Colonial Storage recommends that you insure your personal property and also ensure that you have the proper amount of insurance coverage for the item(s) being stored. Insurance is solely the responsibility of the owner of the stored item(s).
A. If you’re delinquent in your payments, your access card will be deactivated until your account has been updated.
