Q. HOW DO I GO ABOUT OBTAINING STORAGE SPACE AT COLONIAL STORAGE?

A. The process is simple and very straightforward:

  1. Give us a call or send an email.

  2. Your contract-invoice will be emailed directly to you, payment can be made by e-transfer and credit card.

  3. Your parking location and access card number will be provided when you pickup your access card.

Q. WHAT SECURITY DOES THE SITE OFFER?

A. Colonial Storage’s grounds are fenced, well lit, and monitored by security cameras. At the gate, users are required to swipe their access card. The only access to our facility is through the front gate, and the gate is monitored 24/7 through an outside security company.

Q. ARE ANY PREPARATIONS REQUIRED ON MY PART?

A. Please ensure that all the contents are securely stored. Colonial Storage is not responsible for any damages or theft. 

Q. IS INDOOR STORAGE AVAILABLE?

A. No, we do not offer indoor storage. 

Q. WHAT TIMES CAN I ACCESS THE SITE?

A. Access is available 24/7, but we would appreciate our clients avoid accessing the site between the hours of 11:00 PM – 5:00 AM for security reasons. During the winter months, clients should not enter property during a snow storm or freezing rain. Please contact owner at 613-835-9490 for updates on winter access.

Q. I’VE LOST MY ACCESS CARD. WHAT DO I DO NOW?

A. Please contact us to have a new access card distributed. Please note: There will be a $100 redistribution fee for lost or stolen cards.

Q. WHAT ARE THE MAXIMUM DIMENSIONS WHICH I AM ALLOWED?

A. There is no maximum in size to use our storage facilities. The rate* is $3.00 per foot per month ($70 + HST minimum per month) on crushed stone. 


*Storage Rates are based on a 6-month minimum.

Q. DOES COLONIAL STORAGE INSURE MY PROPERTY?

A. No; Colonial Storage does not insure your property. Colonial Storage recommends that you insure your personal property and also ensure that you have the proper amount of insurance coverage for the item(s) being stored. Insurance is solely the responsibility of the owner of the stored item(s).

Q. WHAT HAPPENS IF I’M DELINQUENT IN MAKING MY PAYMENTS?

A. If you’re delinquent in your payments, your access card will be deactivated until your account has been updated.
